The 16th annual Thanksgiving-morning 5K and 10K on the Boone Greenway, benefiting Hospitality House of Northwest N.C. The timed 10K starts at 8:50 AM and the timed 5K at 9:00 AM, both on a new 2026 course of gravel, grass and pavement along the Greenway and Kennedy Trails. An untimed 5K Fun Run/Walk starts at 9:15 AM on paved trails and is open to leashed dogs, strollers, wagons and wheelchairs. Expect a live DJ, a photo area, costumes, and a picnic shed with food and hot drinks. Registration is $40 for the 5K or Fun Run/Walk and $45 for the 10K, and prices go up after Nov 25. On-site registration opens at 7:30 AM; allow at least 30 minutes to park. Pre-race packet pickup is Wed Nov 25, 10 AM–6 PM, at 160 Den-Mac Drive. Bring non-perishable food donations.
